  • July 26, 2011- Atlanta - LTL.COM Domain poised to set record.

    • According to the website Sedo, a leading domain marketing company, an initial bid of $850,000 USD was bid on the domain LTL.COM by an undisclosed bidder .  This opening bid sets a pace which could break the all time record sale set when SEDO sold SEX.COM for $13,000,000 in November of 2010.  Since 2006, Sedo has also been involved with the sale of other valuable domains like VODKA.COM, PIZZA.COM, RUSSIA,COM  all selling for $1 to $3 million dollars.

    • LTL.Com, is a term synonymous with the transportation industry world wide.  The transportation industry contributes nearly $400 billion or 5% to the US GDP each year and in 2009, according to Transport Topics, the leading trade magazine in the industry, the top 10 LTL carriers generated revenue of just under $20 billion along with $12 billion by TL carriers.

    • According to C.W. “Buck” Masten, CEO of LTL.COM, “The transportation industry has long been highly segmented; LTL, TL, Intermodal, Bulk, Household Goods and fragmented; dry, flat, refrigerated, specialized hauling etc.  A consolidating portal for shippers, carriers, drivers and services under LTL.COM could benefit the entire industry as JB Hunt, Swift, US-Xpress and Covenant did with TransPlace in 2000 and leading airlines, Delta, Northwest, Continental and  United did in 2001 with Orbitz.  LTL.COM could help overcome inefficiencies in the current system and bring a long needed cohesiveness to the industry.”

    • LTL.COM currently operates and maintains nearly 40 custom search engines dedicate to the transportation industry.  LTL.COM is in the process of launching a benefits program offering discounts on goods and services to shippers, carriers and drivers.  In the U.S. over 10 million people are employed in jobs directly related to the trucking industry and 93% of the interstate carriers (500,000) operate 20 trucks or less.
    • For further information, contact  C.W. Buck Masten at (706)265-8863 or email at bmasten@ltl.com  or Tom Myers at 770-356-6960 or email at tmyers@ltl.com
  • July 14, 2008-Alanta, GA - LTL.COM goes international by adding Australian and UK Search Engines

    • After adding nearly 1,400 URL's, LTL.COM has expanded its' Custom Search Engines to include Australia and the United Kingdom.

    • LTL.COM adds URL's daily to over 30 Custom Search Engines through industry research and by direct request http://www.ltl.com/add_to_dil.htm .  Each day, LTL's CSE's search thousands of transportation related pages using Googles Custom Search Engine Technology.  Most of the searches performed, ONLY search the URL's included in LTL.COM sites.  While some CSE's continue to search the entire web, priority is always given to those sites included in the search engine its self.  Because LTL.COM limits the search to the Transportation Industry, service providers find themselves getting found, not just listed.

    • July 1st, LTL.COM also began offering advertising opportunities  to the transportation industry http://www.ltl.com/Advertising/advertising.htm .  With ad space limited by design, visitors are not overwhelmed with unrelated ads.  You won't find pop-up ads, video ads or gadget ads.  Advertisers will find straight forward display ads, 5 ads on search engine pages and 10 ads on results pages, with direct links to there own site.  The initial ad rates at LTL.COM are extremely competitive but are expected to increase as our own advertising campaign continues to evolve and site traffic increases.

    • If you have not yet listed your company or service with LTL.COM, don't wait.  There has never been a better way to get your company in front of new customers.  Basic listings are absolutely free with no obligation.
  • June 2, 2008 - Atlanta, GA - UPS add URL to Parcel Search Engine.

    • The total number of websites incorporated into the LTL.COM search engines exceeded 1,100 URL's in May as United Parcel Service (UPS) added its website to the Parcel Search Engine

    • Other changes were made to the site including the addition of 2 Custom Search Engines by separating Flat Bed Carriers and Specialized Haulers from the already established truckload (TL) search engine.  Adding the additional search engines should make it easier for users to find these nitch carriers.
