LTL.COM, LTL.NET and desktop applications, MrLoad and DrTrucker
originally designed
for transportation brokers and truckload carriers in the late
1980's. Ever since acquiring the domains in the early 90's,
the focus has been on the internet and the development of one
transportation Super
Hub tying the industry together.
Our goal has
been and always will be to provide the best value on the internet
for both shippers and transportation service providers (TSP's).
While transportation brokers offer savings on the movement of freight
over hundreds of internet websites, LTL.COM is not, and never will
become, a broker. While brokers average between 7 and 30
percent margins on most loads/shipments, LTL.COM/NET will be
offering the unique ability for shippers and brokers alike to tender
freight to participating TSP's for only pennies.
Many sites offer what
appears to be hundreds of thousands of loads moving on a
daily basis by what we call auction shippers and periodic brokers.
It has been our experience that very few traffic managers post loads
on load boards with the intention of actually moving their freight
and many brokers use load posting services to periodically build
their carrier base into new traffic lanes. Once the contact
and relationship has been made by both shippers and broker, the need
to post loads on a daily or even weekly basis becomes less critical
and the monthly fee, becomes dead expense. As a carrier, if
you find loads posted on LTL.COM you will not be asked for a credit
card in order to get a phone number or contact information from that
shipper or broker because the value of that information will come
back. As a shipper or broker, if you find a carrier that can
service your customer on LTL.COM, you will not be asked for a credit
card in order to reveal the carrier contact information because we
know the information is already out there. We just saved you
the time and energy of having to look for it, and we believe that
the value of that information will bring you back.
